My name is Jamie and I am the proud mother of two beautiful little girls. My oldest daughter is an EXTREMELY picky eater (She'd live exclusively on chicken nuggets if I let her), so I found this site in a desperate search for cooking inspiration, and now I'm here all the time!
My favorite cookbook of all is my 1970's copy of the Pillsbury Kitchens' Family Cookbook. I've never found another cookbook that could hold a candle to it :)
My passions are my family, reading, and getting out into the open air. I love camping and hiking as much as I like being curled up with a great book. I am also never one to turn down a road trip. I love a good adventure.
As for my ratings, much like many other wonderful chefs here:
If I feel a recipe I've tried rates less than 3 stars, I simply won't leave a rating.
A recipe I give 3 stars is a good recipe that for me is a jumping off point to play with it a bit to make it a 4 or 5 star recipe (in my humble opinion) - and that's that.
Negative just isn't my style :)
I love food (Chocolate). I couldn't pick a favorite (chocolate) if I wanted to :). Okay, maybe chocolate...?
I am very into experimenting with recipes to create new and uncharted "food territories". I've had many, many a disaster in the kitchen while trying to find that one "perfect" flavor. I am a cooking perfectionists nightmare.
Nothing in my kitchen is ever boring... and no recipe is ever written in stone ;).
