"I have made these many times now and they just get better every time! As the sourdough starter gets older, the muffins get more and more awesome. These rise up beautifully and are literally picture perfect. I always end up with about 19 beautiful muffins, and 1 "special" one that I have to eat right away so the other muffins don't make fun of it. ..."

"Made this today out of some leftover pumpkin. The only sub I made was molasses for the maple syrup because I didn't have maple syrup and like the combination of molasses and pumpkin in bread. Turned out very very tasty. Moist with a good crumb and tasty enough to eat alone, but not so flavorful it would fight with sandwich fixin's."

"I made this tonight utilizing some of the changes. I used half whole wheat and half regular flour, plus 1 tbs Vital Gluten. Used sugar free syrup and instead of honey, agave. Added 1 tbs of molasses. I also soaked not only raisins but a combination of raisins, blueberries, cherries, and apricots (chopped small in rum.
I used only the dou..."

"I have made this a number of times from the Cooking Light version, but made the same substitutions you did. I used yours today and added fresh cranberries which gives it a nice holiday flavor. I took this recipe for Thanksgiving figuring I'd have some to take home and enjoy. Nope! It was gone! Happened that there was a man with diabetes dining wit..."

--cooked down some pears and replaced all but 1/4 cup of oil with that.
--Used chopped pear and apple both, not just apple (I had pears, I don't like them raw, but I LOVE them in baked goods
--For sugar did 1 2..."

"I made this last night and what a beautiful loaf! I made a few changes that might help with the flavor issue that people are talking about. I used molasses instead of brown sugar. I happened to not have saffron or turmeric so I used a curry spice blend...awesome! I did happen to add too much cinnamon but that was my mistake (stupidly poured it ove..."

"I made this for my husband's birthday. He requested BBQ Chicken Pizza. It turned out FANTASTIC! Made two full pizzas (we ate about 2/3 of one. I put the extra dough into the freezer for another time. Added fresh rosemary and thyme from my garden. It was the perfect consistency, easy to manipulate, and came out nice and "stretchy". It was pretty t..."

"I made these last night to have with my "carbo loading" dinner (running 15 miles today, alongside my super veggie-full spaghetti. They turned out perfect. I got 6 biscuits and the last 3 minutes I topped each with some asiago cheese. Turned out FANTASTIC!
Will definitely make these again."

"Made this with fresh blackberries tonight and it is AMAZING! I didn't have oranges, so I used lemon juice and increased the sweetener some after testing the boiled mixture and finding it tart. Used half sugar and half splenda. It turned out beyond awesome. It was all I could do not to eat it all!
Made two quarts so each one cup serving is..."
