    About Me

I'm the Food Services Director at my church and am always searching for new recipes to serve at weekly fellowship dinners. I also do some catering so often need special menu ideas. Because I cook for large numbers my favorite cookbook is "Food for Fifty" - a wonderful source for quantity cooking.

I love to work with Habitat for Humanity when I have free time and have worked on projects out-of-state as well as at home.

Travel is my all-consuming passion and I especially love the beach - most any beach will do!

    Favorite Foods

Recipes using chicken breasts are my favorite ones to eat and cook. There are so many different ways to use chicken that don't seem like the "same old thing". There is a recipe I created for our Ladies' Banquet that is what I'm "most famous" for, I guess, but have had the most requests for my Spaghetti Sauce recipe, which was my mother's.

In Nashville my most favorite recipe was Houston's, which closed in the fall. In Gulf Shores it's Doc's Seafood Shack which has the best shrimp I've ever eaten.
