"We thought this was ok, but we weren't over the moon about the flavor, which was a tad on the bland side for us. Probably not a repeater at our house."

"Yum! Used boneless, skinless chicken breasts and cooked in the oven. May decrease cooking time just a tad as it was a bit dry, but the flavor was superb. We don't like much of a beer flavor, but it was wonderfully mild. We added broth instead of beer for the gravy and the combination was fantastic. Will definitely make again...and this may ev..."

"This was tasty. Used thin, boneless chops, fresh mushrooms, jerk marinade, and minute tapioca (all are what I had on hand, to save a trip to the store. Cooked it in my dutch oven at 275 fir 3.5 hours. Turned out a bit on the thick side, so I'll add a bit of broth next time. Thanks for a keeper"

"I really wanted to like this (the mushrooms and wine led me to try it, but the flavor and odd aroma were just not to our liking. The thickness the tapioca provided was probably the best part of this for us, and will use this idea in other stew recipes. Sorry."

"This was tasty. I think it was the nutmeg that really made it different and truly savory. However, it was a tad on the salty side. In the future, I'll leave out the salt and use broth instead of bouillon. I also didn't have the fresh herbs or celery, so I used dried herbs and no celery tops. Still had a great flavor."

"This was tasty. It took a little longer to prepare than expected, but the puff pastry made for a fun change and the sherry made the dish! Thanks!"

"Good soup on a cool day. I made a couple of changes based on what I had handy. Used Rescued Turkey stock and doubled the barley but used ground turkey and left out celery and mushrooms. Added fresh green beans, which overpowered the flavor, so I doubled the tomato paste and vinegar and it balanced it well. Will probably do peas instead of gree..."

"These are our new favorite chocolate chip cookies! My hubby is a fan of "bald" cookies, meaning very few chips, so I use 1/2 cup of mini chips, which is a perfect compromise for us. The mini chips spread evenly throughout the batter, giving me my chocolate fix and him the not-too-chocolaty appeal that he seeks. Third time making these, I used1/..."

"Surprisingly "fried" flavor without the grease! I used boneless, skinless to make this a healthy meal. However, the cooking time was off and it turned out quite dry. Will fiddle with times and try this again. Thanks!"

"Beware the bone-in pork chop! The meat really does fall off the bone on this one and the bones on pork chops splinter apart, making for quite an adventure in getting the bone shards out. However, the flavor was GREAT and we're keeping this one...left out the water and will use boneless from now on, but otherwise exactly as written. Thanks!"
