"This was my 1st time to make these and they turned out just OK. I'll make them again but will add another 1/2 cup of flour to thicken the mix. With this recipe as it is now, when the batter (not dough was poured into the hot veggie oil it "fractured" and the result was a lot of wasted batter. I feel that if I thicken the mixture next time, the..."

I ALWAYS soak my chicken 1st in lightly salted ice-water for an hour or so. Then made this (concerned about the hot sauce and it was a fantastic hit! Everyone loved it! I'm picky about fried chicken taste and this is..."

"Absolutely Superb! Used "Country Karen's" recipe for flavoring - Very much recommended; it's great. I'll add some water to the gravy next time tho, as it was a hint thicker than I like. Otherwise, this is a keeper."

"Definately a keeper! DW loved it and she's kinda fussy sometimes. Very tasty and easy to prepare; let meat marinate for a few hrs and that helped. Added a Tbs of honey, superb! Also added carrots and a stalk of celery. We like a little more sauce so next time will reduce to 1 Tbs cornstarch. Thanks QT."

"It must be me; I found this very tasty but difficult to put together correctly. First batch wasn't cooked long enough (5 min, trashed it. 2nd batch cooked about 30 seconds too long and was REALLY AMBER and smelled burnt, trashed it. 3rd batch, I got it to the right color and by the time I added the rest of the ingredients - it was cooling quic..."

"Made these on Good Friday morning for unexpected guests; disappointed. Dough was VERY DIFFICULT to handle, although yeast was fresh they didn't raise to double in 90 minutes (in warmth. They smelled great baking and tasted fine - but frankly, I was glad the ordeal was over. I'll try other recipes before I make this one again."
