"I use ground round burger instead of round steak. Substitute canned shrooms in a pinch. Thicken with cornstarch at the end, as I don't like the sauce to be runny. YUMMY."

"I changed to 4 chicken breasts instead of thighs. I baked at 375 for 1 hour. I added the cornstarch right in with the other ingredients and it was nice and thick when done. I LOVE THIS RECIPE and so does my family."

"BEST. POT.ROAST. EVER. Have made twice with rave reviews. I use RED wine instead of white. I don't cover with water, either, just like the other person said, and it makes a nice thickish gravy. Easy and delicious."
