    About Me

In the words of Canadian chef Corbin Tomaszeski "Food should do one of two things: it should either spark a memory or create a memory".

and Canadian chef Michael Smith: "A recipe is merely words on paper; a guideline, a starting point from which to improvise. It cannot pretend to replace the practiced hand and telling glance of a watchful cook. For that reason feel free to stir your own ideas into this dish. When you cook it once, it becomes yours, so personalize it a bit. Add more of an ingredient you like or less of something you don?t like. Try substituting one ingredient for another. Remember words have no flavour, you have to add your own!

I am a happily married Mom of 2 boys. I have been with my husband for 22 years, married for 17. Our boys are 14 and 16 and like trying these recipes!

I work part time as a Unit Clerk at a Children's Hospital and really enjoy my job. The kids are great and so are my coworkers!

I love to cook and try new things. I have been enjoying Recipezaar/Food recipes for years and I thought it was time to list some of my favourites.

    Favorite Foods

I love love love homemade soups! I also try to make healthier recipes or lighten them on my own.

I am trying to bake more because I've never really been that good at it and my kids really enjoy the goods!
