Reviewed Three Cheese Stuffed Jumbo Pasta Shells

"I quadrupled this to make for my wedding reception and it was a huge hit. Everyone loved your shells! Had to use 2 punch bowls to make the filling! haha Never thought it would all fit in the shells but low and behold it did. This is the first shell recipe I'd ever made without eggs in the ricotta mixture and I was a little weary but all the mozzare..."

    Reviewed Spicy? Sweet? Marinara Sauce

"Untested I made your marinara sauce and shells as part of my wedding reception menu. I quadrupled this recipe, and let it simmer for about 2 1/2 hours. SO glad I chose this one. This is a fabulous tasting sauce! Love it! My only complaint was that it is a little thin. I had to add some tomato paste to thicken it eventually. About 6oz per batch. I'm..."

Reviewed Easy Italian Sausage and Peppers

"Made this using vegan sausages and quadrupled the recipe for my wedding. Went over very well!"

    Reviewed Sun-Dried Tomato Hummus

"I love sun dried tomatoes and hummus. Putting them together is only natural and bound to be fantastic. I just found that 1 cup was way to much for this recipe. I would half the tomatoes next time. There was no creaminess left, but the flavor was great. (did leave out the cumin)"

    -----------------------------
    Hi All!

Welcome to my page. The picture I have up is from last Halloween when I visited Sleepy Hollow! It was taken on  Washington Irving's back porch at his Sunnyside estate. Many people don't know that Irving actually resided in Sleepy Hollow, or that the tale of the Headless Horseman was a "real" local legend. As you can already tell I LOVE Halloween!

Most recent news. I'm engaged to a wonderful man who puts up with all my craziness! (and believe me, there's a lot of craziness) August 13th! Cross your fingers for me/us!

I love to cook (obviously) Or I wouldn't be on Zaar! I could eat something new and different every night of the week, and very often we do. But sometimes you just need those homey "go to" recipes. Thanks to this site I have a few of those too ;)

I'm a vegetarian for 5 1/2 years about. I love it! I would never go back. I have now made the switch to vegan, and have never been more content with myself. Fiance is still an omnivour, so we have the task of finding dishes that we both enjoy. I'm thankful he's very open minded!

My passions in life are definitely animals and the outdoors. I'm working toward getting my wildlife rehabilitation license right now, and would also like to work more with horses at some point soon. To work with both wild animals and horses would be nothing less then a true fairy tale for me.

I really live for changes and adventures (even if they are piddily, few and far between these days) But there's nothing I won't try and not many things I'm not interested in learning! I've always loved cryptozoology, archeology and anthropology and I have a slight obsession with the past (in particular Ancient Greece. I HOPE to visit there one day).Different cultures and religions are very interesting to me as well. I'm a very proud Pagan and have always been, but I have great respect for all religions and people of religion.

I spend most of my free time in the summer wandering around the mountains, hiking, backpacking, camping, foraging for wild plants, swimming (I'm a water child, I will find water ANYWHERE), looking for old ruins (which there are plenty of here from the old rail lines and mines etc) Or hidden treasures (whether they be waterfalls, hidden paths or geocaches) I have an overactive imagination and can make pretty much anything into an epic journey. My friends would tell you I can take a 30 minute hike and turn it into a 3 hour escapade and they never know where the time goes, or what went wrong! lol What can I say? I'm part Fae or something lol In fact if I didn't have my wonderful BF or my best friend to drag me home I'd probably just disappear into the wild never to return! (Especially considering my abhorable since of direction. You'd think with all the time I spend in the woods I'd be a perfect navigator, but far far from it!)

My list of interests is really endless, but some of my other favorite things to do are dance (I'm aweful, who cares!) Go to fairs and festivals or all kinds, take any classes and lectures I can find/get to, pow wows, crafts, paintball, lazer tag. I love making costumes, and attending historical reanactments,  and I LOVE Halloween and May Day. Summer and Fall are tied for my favorite time of year, but I HATE winter because the cold makes me physically ill and I become pretty useless (chronic fatigue or so they say)

I read alot, I love books and the decline of interest in reading really troubles me. One of my MAJOR pet peeves is when people THROW OUT BOOKS!

The other would have to be when people say they don't like something before they even try it!

     Ok I've rambled enough!

If I know you from zaar feel free to send me a friend request on facebook!

I'm A vegetarian 5 years this Halloween (2010) And I've had a lot of fun sort of relearning how to cook without meat, and discovering more and more wonderful foods that I never knew existed before. So I just love trying anything new!

A Big THANK YOU to all the other veggies on Zaar for posting their recipes and being there to answer questions when I've had them!! This site has definitely been a huge help to me!

As for dishes I'm known for -

Perogies (only one left in my family that makes them)

Salmon tartlets ( I don't eat them anymore but they're still an often request)

Ambrosia Fruit Salad (recipe posted on the site)

My friends would probably say what I'm really known for is my canning and campfire cooking.

I also love finding recipes with healthy mystery ingredients to feed to my picky eater friends (not known for that because they never find out lol)
