Reviewed Sweet and Spicy Candied Pecans - With a Kick
"These we absolute perfection with the perfect combination of spices. They turned out nice and crisp and didn;t have that raw taste so many recipes have, IMHO. I did brown my nuts about 5-10 minutes in a small amount of butter on the stovetop which I will do again with this recipe. I also added a little more corn syrup and sugar because I w..."

Reviewed Easy Cheesy Party Dip
"We liked this but I like the Rotel better. I made 1/4 the recipe and added enough salsa to bring it to the consistency that we wanted. Served this with chips. A good salsa is a must in this recipe. Thanks for sharing. Made for Spring PAC 2013."

Reviewed Chicken Salad Sandwich
"I liked this a lot but for us, the relish sandwich spread and the sweet pickle relish took over the other flavors. One or the other would have made this a 5 star for us I think. I also used a Kraft relish spread as mentioned by chef #195977 but not sure if it is the same one or not. I served this on crackers for a snack and for DH to have for lu..."

Reviewed Dad's Irish Coffee
"This was a little stout for even me. I;ll cut back on the whiskey next time. I added a pinch of sugar to made up for not using the whipped cream (that I didn;t have) and it helped the taste for us. Made for a great afternoon coffee drink. Thanks. Made for Spring PAC 2013"

Reviewed Fresh Tomato Pie
"This was a five star recipe had I not had trouble with the cheese mixture. It was difficult to spread over the tomato mix. Other than that the flavor, even using dried basil, was just great. After it cooked for about 15 minutes I took it out of the oven and spread the cheddar cheese mixture a little better to cover the pie more evenly then put i..."

Reviewed Fresh Tomato Pie
"This was a five star recipe had I not had trouble with the cheese mixture. It was difficult to spread over the tomato mix. Other than that the flavor, even using dried basil, was just great. I can;t wait for the fresh tomatoes this summer. Thanks so much for sharing. Made for Spring PAC 2013"

Reviewed Eggs Baked in Potatoes
"My friends are not going to believe that I made a twice baked potato with an egg on top. Who ever invented this is brilliant. I had a rather small russet potato for the two of us. Made as directed excepted probably used a little more butter in the potato and used 1 tablespoon of grated cheddar on top instead of the parmesan. We like our eggs su..."

Reviewed Cheesy Shredded Chicken Bites
"This would have been a 5 star recipe for us had it not been for the Italian seasoning. It just didn;t go with the other spices in our opinion. I;ll be making this again but without the Italian seasoning. Thanks for sharing. Made for Spring PAC 2013."

I live in the mountains of central Arkansas. I work as a Nurse Consultant/Nurse Paralegal and commute to work every week which gives me the time to spend with my kids and family.
We have 5 dogs, 2 JackRats named Dink and Rucky, Lucy, a Bloodhound-Redbone mix, Ruby, a bloodhound, and Lilly, a chocolate lab. My husband and I are very out-door people and love to walk and ride 4-wheelers around our land with our dogs. We also love to fish and hunt. (Well not so much me on the hunting). Our favorite pass time in the evening is playing washer boards with our friends and neighbors, or usually just the two of us.
I tried to clean up some of the banners that had disappeared in March 09 and everything disappeared. So we're starting fresh in April 09. I participated in 2 or 3 ZWT as well as I think most of the PAC Events, a couple of the RSC events and several swaps. But that is history and it starts all over now.

We love grilling fish, steakes and fresh veggies during the summer. Give me beans and cornbread or a big pot of chili during the winter and I'm happy. After this last WT game, I have decided I love Asian cooking and am playing around with that right now. I just learned how to make bread over the past year or so and really enjoy experimenting with different recipe, including sourdough recipes, which my friend Paula G introduced me to with her no failproof sourdough starter. We are pretty open to just about everything, except seafood with those little suction things on them. lol
