Reviewed Kung Pao Chicken
"We adapted this recipe only slightly because we were using chicken that was already cooked. The result was that the texture was more like shredded chicken, which my husband didn't care for (hence, why I'm not rating the recipe)! The flavor was awesome though. We like our chicken saucy, so we doubled the sauce. Thank you!"

Reviewed Family Fave Lentil Tacos
"I didn't have chipotle on hand, which probably would have made these absolutely amazing. However, my meat-loving husband didn't mind having these on his tacos instead of meat, which is really saying a lot! A couple of technical items, I would up using a pound of dry lentils with a little extra beef broth, and I simmered them for about 40 minutes ..."

I'm a busy mom of four young children and a picky husband! I love to find recipes that are easy to make, healthy and delicious! Although, I don't mind treating our family occasionally to something "less healthy" if it tastes really good! :)
My Rating System:
5 Stars - Means your recipe blew our family away! It's one of our very favorites and it has that WOW factor! We just can't get enough of it. Similar to what we might expect in a gourmet restaurant.
4 Stars - Excellent recipe, but missing that something special. Not necessarily gourmet quality food, but still tasty. We'll probably eat this fairly frequently, and maybe even tweak it a little bit.
3 Stars - Good, but not great. Average food that we don't mind eating, but we don't get excited about it either. We may tweak it for a better taste.
2 Stars - Something didn't work for our family's tastes, texture, combination of flavors, lack of flavor, who knows. We didn't really care for it.
1 Star - This is for a recipe that makes me sick, or tastes so bad that nobody in my family will touch it, and it goes in the trash.
No Stars - If I don't add stars to a recipe, that means I think I may have done something wrong, or made significant changes to the recipe. If I mess up, it's not fair to reflect it in my rating for you, but I will leave a review of my experience.
If you have questions about any review that I have given you, please feel free to (kindly) zmail me. I'll try my best to give you a reason for my rating.
