    Reviewed Krumkake

"A very good recipe for Krumkake. I used almond extract as my preference. My daughter and I made them today for Mother;s day. Got lazy and made the flat version. So crispy and not too sweet. I might add just a pinch of salt next time to brighten the flavor."

    Reviewed Soft Coconut Macaroons

"These were just perfect! I liked several things about this recipe. I like that it has some flour in it, that it does not have sweetened condensed milk and that it has almond extract. These were nice and chewy and sweet enough. My husband and guests loved them! My friend took a copy of the recipe home with her."

Reviewed Low-Fat Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip

I didn't tell the ladies until several had take a second taste. After I told them it was tofu, they were so surprised. One lady who was holding back, decided to have some after all. She is wa..."

    About Me

I am a charter member of Recipezaar and really hope that small-town feel of the website will thrive with all of these changes.  I grew up in St. Louis, MO and have lived in California now for 18 years.

I am married and mother of two girls, one in college and one in high school.  I try very hard to plan menus each week and adjust recipes to adjust for good carbs and up the nutrition when possible.  Some of the recipes my girls ask for on a regular basis are Recipe #13630, Recipe #165805 and my father's kabob recipe: Recipe #140754.  All are 5 star classics in our family!!

I also like taking photos when I make a successful recipe and have over 700 pics posted here on the site.

    Favorite Foods

I love any kind of pie, fresh fruit salads, a good green salad and anything from the grill. I also like Italian food, Good Mexican Food, Chinese/Thai, Seafood and a really good Deli.

I don't like Lima beans, soy milk, corn when it's 'in' things or cooked raisins.
