"I have made this twice....and it is good, but IMO, too heavy on the allspice. I will cut it back to about 1/2 that amount or a little more. Also, in my second batch, I did something a Jamaican friend of mine told me to do, add some orange juice and some orange zest. That made it even better, not that the original is bad - far from it. Good recipe."

"It is easy. and not at all what I would call French Onion soup. It lacks the deep rich flavors of French Onion Soup that has all the needed ingredients. I swear people on this site give far too much credit to recipes just because they are easy to make. In my book, "easy to make" usually translates to " Not full flavored, but edible". I guess if y..."

"OK, I have done this before I even read this, and I give it 3 stars. It is functional, but not really empenada dough."

"Not bad, but definitely needs more "stuff" in it..... whether it be some peppers, garlic, pepperoni, or whatever floats your boat. I would probably have all of that and onions too!"

"The flavor is good.... I made it 2x, just the way the recipe calls for..... once it was near perfect... The 2nd time the texture was kind of grainy.... Not sure why... but it still tasted great."

"OK, we made this on Christmas Day, basically I just doubled the recipe, but I added 1 tsp cayenne, and 1 TBS of worcestershire sauce, and some scallions for garnish. People raved over this. Will make it several times a year if I can get the oysters... not always easy where I live."

"OK, this is NOT, NOT, NOT a Philly Cheesesteak if you use deli roast beef. You must use thinly sliced rib eye. And the poster has personal preferences in the recipe. I do not know of a single place that has garlic in the sandwich unless requested. Also, as a BASIC original cheesesteak, 99% of places do not use bell peppers. This would still be a g..."

"First, I would like to have given this 3.5 stars, but it doesn't work that way here. I followed the recipe exactly, and it was pretty good for "me" but I knew my family would not like it as much as I did. It definitely is not your normal chili, which is fine. But the flavors do catch you off guard, or at least they did to me, even seeing the spice..."

"Very nice, but really, with these ingredients, how could it not be? One thing though... This says it makes 4 portions. I don't think so. At best it makes 3 servings, but IMO, it makes 2 adult sized portions - and this is important - BECAUSE there is too much stuffing for the amount of crescent rolls. I had about 50 - 60% extra stuffing after makin..."
