    About Me

Well, I live on Lake Greeson in Southwest Arkansas. I work as a chef in a local restaurant, Gayle's Family Restaurant, that is owned by my family. I also own a catering company, Once Upon A Dream Catering. I like to play piano in my spare time (when I have it). I also like photography and antiques. I also collect vintage cookwares, appliances, and roasters. Oh, my favorite cookbook(s)...anything written by Emeril Lagasse or Julia Child. I also have to have my Professional Chef by The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. I also like the cookbooks that are put together for fundraising groups and churches. They contain the best recipes. My passions? Food, Food, and Food. Pet Peeves? Diets and dieters. Never Trust A Skinny Chef!

    Favorite Foods

Oh, my favorite dish to cook is my meaty lasagna. Also, anything with pasta.
I am famous for my chocolate cobbler. My family requests it everytime we have a family dinner.
My favorite restaurant(s)? I suppose my favorite restaurant is my restaurant, but aside from it, there are many. I live in a rural area, so restaurants are few and far between. Some of my favorites are: Malone's in Arkadelphia, AR (their Muffaletta is out of this world)
Cafe 1712 in Hot Springs, AR Great selection.
The Lotus in Hot Springs, AR. They feature Thai and Vietnamese.
The Center in Muenster, TX. Wonderful German cuisine.
Rohmer's in Muenster, TX. also wonderful German cuisine.
I am always willing to try a new restaurant. I will almost never choose a chain restaurant. I like the independent restaurant.
