"This was too "boozy" for us...even though I simmered it a little more vigorously and longer than called for in the recipe. We pitched it. The Vermouth just didn't burn off enough....and we "like" Vermouth. Next time, I would cut the alcohol in 1/2.... because the "concept" of mushrooms and Vermouth is good."

"Excellent Pie! Made it for my extended family and it was gone....lickity split! Sliced up perfectly...not too much juice, not dry either. The pears were not overly soft when cooked per the instructions and the topping was "just right" (crispy and sweet. Thanks for a great recipe!"

"Tired of the "same old" crock pot recipes, I was intrigued when this caught my eye! Thoroughly enjoyed the recipe however, I found the ginger slightly overpowering and will decrease the amount by "at least" a half the next time I make it. "

"Just made it this morning for Easter breakfast. Delightful! Very rich....so not something to make everyday....but for special occasions...you CAN'T beat it! I did not pre-bake the crust...but nothing was soggy so I wouldn't change a thing."
