"This recipe is awesome! It was my first attempt at making my own seitan & i'm so happy with the way it came out. I didn't use allspice or cinnamon because I didn't have any on hand. I also added onion powder (1 tsp, as suggested by some of the other reviewers. Thank you for sharing!"

"FANTASTIC!!!! I just made this for dinner because I was looking for something quick to whip up. Wow. The refried beans really make the soup creamy! I served it with baked nacho chips to crumble on top or dip. Thank you for posting!"

"Absolutely fantastic!! I didn't add oil to the mix and didn't really think it needed it. It was not a "stick it in the crock and forget about it" kind of recipe, though. I tended to it often, stirring and adding water so that it wouldn't stick. I'm not sure if that was a result of the lack of oil. It came out awesome, though, in about 7 hours. Wha..."

"These were amazing. I made the meatballs and my husband made meatball parm sandwiches out of them. it was fantastic. My non-veg husband loved them except said maybe half the fennel next time because he's not a huge fan of it. Thank you so much for posting!"

"Great recipe! The only thing I would change is to 1/2 lemon's juice. I may have had a really juicy lemon, though."

As per the commenter below suggested, I added 1 cup of cheese (I used fat free cheddar to the mix. I also added cayenne pepper powder to taste (in the mixture before I added the eggs - again, I used EggBeaters. It cam..."

"Great dish, however, I think next time I will add some cayenne pepper and garlic for more of a kick. Perhaps even artichokes? This recipe is definitely a nice recipe and looked absolutely perfect coming out of the oven. Beautiful!!"

"This was very nice. I took A LOT of liberties. First of all, I couldn't find the fettucini noodles, so I used the regular spaghetti type. I think that it would have been better with the noodles the recipe calls for, but it was still good. I also (as the commenters, below used veggie beef, but I used "Smart Deli" ground beef. I also used fat free ..."

"This recipe is awesome. I was very skeptical while making it because it didn't seem to have much of a "base", but it turned out fantastic!!! The flavors are so complex! Even my non-veg hubby went back for seconds. Thanks!"

"Wow! I took a few liberties with this recipe. I added muscles and crab claws and used haddock in place of halibut and it came out amazing. I also doubled the red pepper flakes, because I love it spicy!!! Great and fairly easy recipe. Thanks!"
