"Awesome recipe - I did it exactly as written except I added the butter at the end of cooking the turkey as a sort of finishing. Had it with bean pasta, as I am low carb high protein. One serving with the bean pasta had over 40 grams of protein! Will be making this again - easy and delicious. Thank you!"
"Very tasty and super easy. Followed the recipe exactly except I added an extra can of beans. Found the consistency kind of mushy and I am not the biggest fan of mushy chicken. Might try cooking it on low as one reader suggested. Thank you for a very nice recipe."
"Nice simple and yummy. I used only beef as I did not have the sausage - but I doubled the beef. Followed the recipe exactly other than that. Turned out really well and was easy to make. Thank you!"
"Used the recipe as a basis for the ingredients I had on hand. Used low carb bread, sharp and marble cheddar, and had no onions so used onion powder and omitted the celery. Added some black pepper too. It really hit the spot. Can see myself adding all sorts of stuff and varying it. I usually make tuna melts open faced but I like the way this reci..."
"This was ok but not amazing. I used the same amount of stewing beef rather than a roast, and added potatoes and carrots but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. Maybe the extra liquid from the veggies diluted the broth? It was not as flavourful as I thought it would be with all the seasoning. Btw, the packets in the stores are only 1 o..."
"Great recipe! Had to brown the chicken in 4 batches as there was too much for one pan, it just boiled rather than browning. Added a few things: an extra clove of garlic, some xanthan gum to thicken the sauce at the end, and garnished with green onions. Doubled the ginger and crushed peppers because it like it spicy. Other than that I followed th..."
"Lentils with fried onions, salt and pepper and a little olive oil at the end if fantastic. I find the other spices are not needed. I always soak my lentils in water for a day before cooking them, it makes them extra tender and delicious. Also gently simmer the lentil rather than boiling, so they don't break apart."
"I added some balsamic vinegar, mushroom stock, and a bit of saracha sauce and ketchup. No kidney beans, ground beef, peppers so left peppers out and used lentils and ground turkey as substitutes. I tripled the garlic used. Even with these changes it is good and I would make it again. Smells like heaven in my home right now :0)"
"Cheap and easy to make and tastes good too. Comfort food. I eat low carb so I made several substitutions. Replaced potato with canned yellow wax beans for that creaminess factor. For the milk I mixed water with 3 tbs whipping cream. The flour I substituted a few tbs of xantham gum. I did not have cabbage so I substituted brussel sprouts for them. ..."
"Great recipe and very easy to make. I made it exactly as instructed and it came out really nice. My whole house smelled like delicious baking while it was cooking. I would say the consistency and taste is a little more eggy than regular cheesecake, but not in a bad way. I will be making this again and maybe play around with different flavours - t..."
