I live in Phoenix AZ. The pic above is outdated; of my 1st eggplant of the 07 season, with some of the lettuce and greens I picked for dinner.
I have been cooking forever- either for family, teaching/instruction, etc. I work in public education. I garden and cook for fun.
I love to cook with my children. I collect cookbooks. Recently I've weeded out a bunch of them, as I am trying to simplify my life, and there were so many that I never used or was particularly enamored by. I still have quite a collection.
I enjoy the classics, ie-Julia Child, the old Betty Crocker, etc. In addition, I love to read the biography/cookbook combos, and regional cookbooks. One of my favorites is Jane and Michael Stern's "Real American Foods"- great regionally authentic recipes from restaurants around the country.

I am a foodie. I am happy to experiment and like most ethnic foods. I absolutely love Greek food.
My family wants me to cook all the time. I get calls regularly from fam and friends for recipe/cooking help.
In the last year I have been experimenting with raw foods, organic/seasonal cooking, etc. I have had some health issues in last couple years and am doing my part to move toward a healthier, new self.
