    About Me

    We love to eat :)

I'm an island girl living in Seattle, WA who loves to cook! I enjoy cooking for my family and friends, and I don't find many things more satisfying than sharing food and good memories with them. Plus they always seem to be hungry--perfect!

    Favorite Foods

Tongan food is my favorite, and I'm forever attempting to play around with the recipes that are passed down through family (although many of them need not to be played with..hehe). Keke Tonga is my most loved comfort food of all time..just like grandma's! One thing I'm not fond of, is when someone uses ingredients like pineapple or fish and then calls it a traditional island dish. I think that's so odd and typically misleading. I also enjoy different kinds of Asian foods. If dining out, it's usually for sushi and pho.

I try and eat healthy, and I cook and bake with only organic ingredients and have done so for nearly the past 5 years. I've never felt better! I'm not one for things out of boxes, or the type of cooking that is featured in that show Semi-Homemade food (I think that's the name) for that matter. It seems to me that you can't really enjoy yourself in the kitchen if you're always starting from a powdered or jellied packet of who knows what?!

I have a weakness for gummy candies, chocolate mints, and anything pickled, which I blame completely on my papa.
