    About Me

Living in the foothills of the Smoky Mtns.I'm a homeschooling mom to 3.  Perhaps being somewhat isolated, I run, bike, swim, and do yoga to keep my sanity.  And I love to cook too!   Maybe too much... and that might be another reason I exercise so much!!  I find it challenging making good, healthy food for my busy family, but I recently read "Food Rules" so I am trying to make food as close to its natural state as possible - rather than a boxed cake, I make it from scratch.  I find it's much more time consuming, but so much better.  We take time to actually savor the food too, when we know we can't replicate it in the next 10 minutes.

    Favorite Foods

I'll eat just about everything except for mushrooms.  While I love cooking just about anything, I really love baking best.
