Shared Recipe Super Duper Easy Cherry Compote

"Not as bad for you as you might think. Also quick because you're using frozen cherries! Please get the ones frozen WITHOUT sugar. The whole point of this is controlling how much sugar we feed our families. Plus it's tasty.

Serve cold with your favorite meat or pastry or puddings, or serve piping hot over ice cream or fresh cake."

Shared Recipe Peanut Butter and Jelly Ice Cream Sundae

"Classic PB&J takes on sundae form! It's delicious and easy. My uncle long ago made this for me as a child. I still remember it to this day like he made it. Use your favorite jam or preserve. This recipe uses my personal favorite."

Shared Recipe Truly Non-Dairy Coconut Caramel

"Inspired by recipe #117551. Instead of using heavy cream and butter, coconut cream (not to be confused with sweet "cream of coconut"!) and vegan margarine were used. WARNING: It is so addicting you may not be able to put it down! The taste is that of caramel and buttery coconut."

    Reviewed Caramel Sauce

    "This took me three tries....

The first time, the sugar burned VERY quickly. (I suppose that was my own fault, obviously) For those who have never burned sugar, it;s a smell so horrible, it;s worse than some harsh chemicals!

.... The second time, the sugar wasn;t caramalized when ..."

    "Comatose Brownies"

I thought of adding a small amount of liquid to help offset the added cocoa powder. The original recipe before it was tweaked called for 1 cu..."

Shared Recipe Faerie's Simple Curry Rice

"A delicious and easy rice recipe my boss gave me. it's so good and so simple. The secret ingredient is lime salt. if you can't find lime salt, grate a little lime zest in there and/or use a little lime juice in your salt, but lime salt REALLY is the way to go.

Tip: this goes very well with chicken."

    Shared Recipe Comatose Brownies

"These brownies are fudgey, gooey, chewy and so dark they're almost unholy...

Just one bite of this extremely dark brownie is all it takes to send you into a chocolate coma. Lightweights, beware! Enjoy with a tall glass of milk."

    Favorite Foods

I love food that can take me places in a single waft and/or bite. Since I doubt I'd be able to travel the whole world and see everything there is.. I could at least taste the food from there!

Also, food that takes me back to simpler times.  Some might call this "Retro" fare... Yo ukow what I'm talking about! Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes... Chicken Croquettes... Meatballs...  Yum
