I am an empty nester who went back to work part-time 4 years ago.
My husband
(we met online 17 years ago. That's how I got to Kansas) is retired Air Force who now manages a restaurant and supports me in all I do. We like to travel by car except for the price of gas. He's a wonderful guy - my Dad likes him!
My daughter
now lives in CT where we were originally from and is in her senior year at college. Gosh I miss her! She's doing great (Honors program - we're so proud!) and enjoying all the East Coast has to offer.
I started cooking when I was 8 years old as my Mom was ill. It's a creative expression and a gift I give my family. I'm real popular when we have potlucks at work. I've been collecting cookbooks and recipes since I was twelve. I love to cook but hate to clean.
My daughter is now beginning to be interested in cooking. It's great to be able to share my love of cooking with her!
My step-daughter has 3 beautiful children and a great husband which keep her very busy.
My wonderful long-haired Chihuahua, Roxie, is a real cutie and is completely spoiled. She is great company and has brought so much love into our lives.
As a displaced East Coaster, I get back to Connecticut about once a year to visit family. It's also my time to fill up on Pizza, Italian food, swordfish and pastries. I really miss New England in Autumn! Apple picking, sweater weather, crunchin' throught the leaves... those colors! We just went this October.
