"I was skeptical that I'd like this, because I WANT to like black-eyed peas, but rarely do. HOWEVER, this recipe was great!! This is so delicious, I can hardly believe it. I cut down on the salt. Also, I cooled this in the 'fridge overnight, then removed the fat next day. This is truly a fantastic soup!"

"This is very good. I made it as shown, but I used light sour cream. I also added several generous grinds of black pepper, and several tablespoons of milk at the end to thin it out a bit. The anchovies are not optional. Don't be afraid; you won't really know they're in there, but the sauce will suffer if they are not."

"I made this using walnuts instead of pine, since I don't have any. I also don't have dulse. I used 3 cloves of garlic, because I LOVE garlic. I also added juice from one fresh lime. Delicious! I mixed with a little low fat mayo and some quality canned salmon for a really great sandwich filler."

"This was just what I was looking for. I had leftover shrimp and hard boiled eggs, and found this recipe using the ingredients search. I added some Old Bay seasoning. This made a great sandwich!"

"Very good soup. I made only a few small changes, but otherwise followed recipe exactly. I added a minced jalapeno with the onions and celery. I used a second can of black beans. I pureed nearly the whole batch with a stick blender. I added a handful of frozen corn and several dashes of Mexican hot sauce near the end (after the blending. Then..."

"What a simple, but delicious dish. A few bites of the asparagus were tough, but that is my fault for not trimming them enough. The flavor was far better than I would have guessed from the short list of ingredients."

"I made this on the stovetop, in a covered pot--took about 2 hours. I used 2 lbs of boneless, skinless chicken thighs. Added 3 T brown sugar and several dashes of fish sauce. I also used a 26 oz. jar of Walmart brand chunky salsa, and there was plenty of sauce. I served this over a variation on the Thai Coconut Rice, with brown rice instead of ..."

"Very good. I used a little bit of smoked hog jowl to render some fat instead of olive oil. I sauteed some onion and then added the garlic and cooked until almost brown before adding the rest of the stuff. I also simmered rather than boiling, since I read another recipe that said do not boil the greens. The result is great!"

"Fantastic flavor. I made it exactly as described, but I added one more habanero (3 total. I also used pork tenderloins, not cubed up, and I did grill them. I have been looking for many years for a really great jerk recipe, and I think this one is it."
