    About Me

I live near Toronto and am a devoted foodie. I work full time and don't have a lot of time or energy during the week for meals. I love having things made ahead /prepped that I can just reheat or quickly put together. But on the weekends, I enjoy spending time in the kitchen. My favourite baking is anything bread related....But it is SO hard not to eat it all hot from the oven. I also love to sew, knit, get together with friends, read (especially murder mysteries and cookbooks...there actually are some books that are both ( Diane Mott Davidson). I think that this site has just become one of my passions. I found it when I was lamenting that I had lost a favourite bread recipe. My daughter, much more computer savvy that I, suggested that I google it....I did and that is how I found Recipe Zaar...Wow , am I ever glad I did. I found the lost recipe AND a whole new way to collect and organize my tons of recipes.Of course, now I will also be adding to them by the hundreds. What fun!!

    Favorite Foods

I have so many favourite foods (notice the U in favourite,,,Canadian spelling)but I definitely would choose bread over cake. Home-made of course. My mother was famous for her pies and pastry and I think that is what I am also best known for. I inherited her rolling pin and it is one of my most cherished possessions.
