    My Journal

I have no recent activity to share.

    About Me

I am a mother of 3 beautiful kids 7,5, and
7 months. My wonderful husband loves everything that I cook (even when I know that the experiment didn't work too well). I have been cooking as long as I can remember. My grandma showed me how to cook and also passed on the gene that doesn't allow me to follow recipes very well. We always have to change or substitute something. Sometimes things work out and sometimes we chuck it and move on. I really enjoy cooking and have been so fortunate to be able to stay home with my kids and care for my family. Some people may think that I still live in the 50's but I guess I'm just an old fashioned gal.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite food to eat is Meat Raviolis with Portabello Raviolis as a close second. I recently made up a heavenly Portabello Mushroom sauce that I should post but I will have to make it again and write down some measurements and directions cause I usually just start throwing stuff in the pan till it tastes right. I have on many occasions surprised myself and my husband with my ability to duplicate dishes on taste alone. Sometimes this is great but many times I am disappointed because now what reason do I have to pay someone to fix it for me when I can whip it up myself. I hope this does not sound cocky. I usually just get ideas from cook books and they are very helpful for temperatures but I mostly just play it by ear. I don't beleive in keeping secret ingredients to yourself because sharing your recipes is a way of sharing yourself especially if you love cooking as much as I do.
