Saved Recipe Sweet and Salty Brownies (With a Layer of Salted Caramel... !) by Raquel Grinnell

I am married with 2 stepsons, aged 13 and 18. It has taken awhile to get the boys used to my cooking, as their mom was a package-foods cook (i.e. mac-n-cheese from the blue box, frozen dinners, Chef Boyardee, and fast foods). My mother is from Spain and I lived there as well as Germany, England and Italy growing up. My cooking is mostly Mediterranean-based, but I have also turned my family on to Thai, Morroccan, French, South American and Asian dishes. Currently, my favorite cookbook is "The Silver Palate" because everything that I have ever made from that book has gotten rave reviews from family, friends and co-workers. The Shrimp and Grape Salad is absolutely phenomenal.
