"Made this last night. Was a little uneasy about all that liquid but it did turn into a syrup. I will be cutting back on the sugar next time. I did leave off 1/4 cup of sugar and found I could have cut it down to only one cup.Other than that the recipe was very easy and yummy. Will be making again. thanks for sharing."

"Very good & very easy. Practically makes itself. I did sift my flour and used seltzer water instead of beer. Took the other reviewers suggestion and used only 1/4cup of melted butter. Turned out great the first time...family raved...great toasted too.....you can add just other ingredients to give it character of taste. Will be making again and a..."

"Great not too sweet snack cake. This smells just like chocolate chip cookies when it bakes. Yum. I did add 1 tsp. of vanilla and only had to cook it for 30 minutes. Do divide your chips...some are suppose to go on top according to the recipe. I also added 1/4c. of minced salted peanuts on top. Fantastic. Will be making this again and again. ..."
