"Mmmm tasty stuff! 3 tblsp of oil was perfect for us. We enjoyed it mixed in with a mushroom risotto I'd made, then the next day I mixed it with fresh baby spinach, feta, chopped mushies and spring onion to enjoy my own salad for lunch.
We'll be revisiting this lip smackin' recipe very soon :)
Thanks for sharing.."
"I made this to take along for Christmas lunch with the family but there was so much food nobody had a chance to try it. Mum kept it & shared it with her friends on NYE & she said everyone really enjoyed it. I'll have to make some for us now :)"
"We made these a little different from the recipe but the base flavour from this recipe is excellent. We used 2 large leeks, added 12 asparagus spears (chopped in 0.5cm pieces) and used a vegetarian chicken stock. We put chopped BBQ chicken breast in two of the four pies, so we got 2 Vegetarian pies and 2 Chicken pies."
"We have many huge leeks in our veggie patch at the moment, so this recipe was a perfect opportunity to put them to good use.
We served them with our dinner of grilled salmon, mashed potato & corn on the cob.
I'm sure this will be finding its way to our table again really soon."
"I've been making these at work to sell in the cafe.
I've mixed it up a few times, swapping the tomatoes for char-grilled capsicum & I sometimes cook some chopped mushrooms with garlic in butter, let them cool & use 40g of those with 40g of either tomatoes or capsicum. Mixed dry herbs is what I use & someone at work really must like these muffi..."
"Enjoyed this dish. Left out the 2nd 2 tblsp of butter to lessen the fat content and Included a bunch of asparagus which worked really well with the other flavours.
Will make it again."
I halved the recipe for the 2 of us, (left out the celery seed coz we didn't have any) & have lots left over to share with friends next time.
Here in Melbourne there's a local vego burger franchise called Lord of the Fries (clever, eh? :) & this definitely rivals their seasoning.
5 stars all the way!"
"Restaurant quality stuff! I used 1/3 light & 1/3 dark soy so it wouldn't be overly salty for us & fried some fresh chilli with our onion, garlic & ginger...
Loads of fresh veggies, some tofu & freshly cooked rice on the side....this has knocked our regular stir-fry sauce out of rotation, with it never to be looked at again!
Thanks, Connie ..."
"Lovely healthy soup.
I chopped up another onion because with all those other veg it looked like it paled in significance. I loved the addition of the mashed cannellini beans, they added thickness aswell a nice flavour. In the end I did find that it needed something more than thyme, so added about 2 tsp of fresh garlic chives, some dried parsle..."
"Another 5 star rating and well deserved! We made this exactly as per recipe with fresh green rhubarb cut 1/2hr earlier from our garden. No doubt it will be made again."
