"Immediately after finishing his dinner my husband said "I'm excited to have this again for dinner sometime." So you can bet we'll be having this again! LOL. We like spicy food but 1 tsp seemed a little insane to me; I reduced it to 1/2 tsp and it was the perfect amount of heat for us. (I kept the crushed red pepper at 1/2 tsp.) I used unsalted..."

I never realized how easy it is to create restaraunt-quality dishes at home until I lived with my grandparents over one of my summer breaks from college. As soon as I got my first apartment (a year or so later), I started cooking and have been addicted ever since! I like to challenge myself with new ingredients and techniques. I'm big on research, and will spend hours learning the "how to's" of new ideas ahead of time, because there's nothing more depressing than making a disappointing meal!
I've taken it upon myself to be in charge of Thanksgiving dinner for the past 5 years (I'm 27 now)...I enjoy the challenge, and think I put together a pretty darn good spread! :)

My fiance and I both love veggies, but neither of us are big fans of fruit. This works out well when deciding what to make for dinner, but I'd like to try and incorporate some fruits, for health reasons.
Italian and Mexican tend to be my favorite meals. I enjoy the challenge of coming up with healthy--but flavorful--alternatives to the traditional Italian and Mexican fare!
We love pretty much anything cooked at home on the grill.
