    About Me

    Thanks to a search for home-made Oreo cookies, I landed on Recipe*zaar's milky way! The recipes, comments and general organisation have an efficient and affectionate air which made me want to sign in straight away.
    Since last year I live and work in Brussels, capital of Belgium, but Li?ge is my place of birth, in the east of the country, close to Maastricht and K?ln. People there speak French intermingled with lotsalanguages and eat food from all over the world.
    My mother was from West-Virginia; years ago she gave me her Betty Crocker cookbook to help me make cookies and meals, because I kept skipping right quantities and ingredients. She had figured out that attractive presentation, true-to-the-word recipes and handfuls of advice would keep me in the straight track, which they did. Now I realize these reasons are exactly why I'm hooked to your site. And Recipe*zaar doesn't even look retro or vintage!

    Favorite Foods

    Rocket - hence the name : rocket as the herb/salad, or as the popsicle!
    I also love Grana Padano Parmigiano cheese, anything with malted taste (Dry Horlicks for instance), tea, toasts, mussels with handcut fries, duck, white vineyard peaches, bref, je mange presque de tout sauf... erratically heated restaurant food or ready-to-eat fare. I'm mostly floored by simple dishes made with fresh ingredients AND larder treasures. I'm actually a pantry maverick.
    I?m famous for an olive cake which I?ll post as soon as possible, and for cookies!!! I guess my friends appreciate the fact that a half american is caring for their sweet tooth?
