I'm a vegan that is trying to adjust to home cooking. Because of my busy schedule, I used to eat out at least once a day, and this forced me to eat things I normally wouldn't consider. I found myself getting sick from all of the grease and god knows what that was in my food, so I've made a commitment to shopping at local farmers markets and preparing all of my food at home.
Typically, home cooks rotate through 9 staple dinners. If this is the case, my 9 staples are:
1. vegan chili
2. pasta with a marinara sauce, with either lentils dissolved in it or typical meditteranen ingrediants like spinach, artichoke, black olives, or baby portabellos
3. Sweet peas or baked beans with a carb, like mashed potatos or biscuits
4. Potato, turnip, and carrot stew
5. Fried tofu
6. Falafel sandwiches
7. roasted brussel sprouts
9. Miso soup!!!
