"I've made this once and LOVED it! But I'm wondering if I could substitute sweet potatoes for the squash? Hm...I would think it would work. I'll try it and let you all know!"

"This was DELICIOUS! I made it tonight for St. Patrick's Day dinner. I loved the flavor, even though I'm not a huge fan of cabbage. Even my picky husband loved it! Thanks for the great recipe!"

"Wow, these were great! Might be my new favorite way to eat sweet potatoes! Instead of boiling them with the other ingredients, to save time, I put the peeled and cut up pieces of potato into a microwavable dish with a lid and microwaved them for 15 min. Then I just threw them and all the other ingredients into my food processor and voila! Oh, ..."

"Yummy! My husband and I both loved this! I made it with corn instead of peas because I didn't have any."

"Delish! I would never have thought I'd like this, but it was very tasty. I did as many of the others suggested by lowering the baking temp to 375 and leaving them in for a full hour. They turned out perfect. Thanks for a great recipe, Kelly!"

It was very moist (most likely from all that oil! and delicious! Next time I'm going to substitute applesauce for half of the oil and make it a bit..."

"This is a great recipe! I halved it because I was using leftover french bread and only had half a loaf. It was perfect for two people. The cinnamon sugar was so good, didn't need any syrup at all. The middle of the toasts were a bit soggy, so next time I'll either bake it a little longer, or not soak it in the egg mixture quite as long. But o..."

"Very easy, if a little messy without a funnel. I got exactly 7 quarts worth of apples and syrup, which was nice. Looking forward to making a pie with them now!"

"Well, I'm a little disappointed in this. I followed the recipe exactly, "cook uncovered, over very low heat 1 1/2 hours or till very thick" but I cooked mine for at least 4 hours and it never got any thicker than it began. I don't know why. I'm going to open up all my cans and try to re-heat it and get it to reduce more, but I'm not sure it'll..."
