Reviewed Chili Powder
"I have made this several times and it is perfect, it has made all of my recipes that call for chili powder taste even better. Put everything in a little mason jar and give it a shake! Highly recommended."

Married mother of two living on a small homestead in central Georgia. For fun I like to garden, walk in the woods, poke around in the creek, hunt, fish and ride horses. I keep chickens for eggs and they also provide much needed comic relief. Also have 2 dogs- a rat terrier named Daisy and a young English Shepherd named Pearl. Have 2 horses- an enormous and goofy Tennessee Walking Horse named Moses and a Welsh pony named Moonbeam. They are quite the pair.
Vegetables from my garden, venison from the deer that eat my garden and fresh eggs from my chickens are some of the things that inspire me to fire up the oven, burners and the grill.
When it is cold, I like to sit down in front of my wood heater and read- I like Ferrol Sams, Bailey White and Laura Ingalls Wilder. My pet peeve would be rude people, in particular those that smell.
I love pecans, chocolate, fried okra, bourbon, oriental foods, boiled peanuts, any kind of cookie, cheese grits and ham, watermelon and fried chicken, Coke with peanuts in it, and really salty pork rinds. Anything with fresh ginger or fresh lemongrass. Fried green tomatoes. Peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Coconut pie. Lots of stuff. I like odd pickled things- watermelon rind, okra, green tomatoes, and chow chow in my butterbeans. I love it when DH cooks because he always makes grilled venison loin and mashed potatoes and they are the best anywhere.
I despise boiled cabbage, potted meat, boiled okra and pickled peaches. I can cook pretty fair country fried steak and sawmill gravy, but I don't like to eat it. Due to the smell while cooking, and because I know where they come from, I would not eat chitlins even on a double dog dare- chitterlings if you are into proper spelling.
As far as what I am known for, depends on who you ask. My dad says my mocha swirl creme brulee, DH says Carrot Cake, and Mama usually says Bourbon Pecan Shortbread or "that chocolate roulade thing you put fresh raspberries in". The kids say I make the best Potstickers and Beanie Weenie in the world.
I love to eat at the Waffle House- Hash browns, scattered, well done with a double side of bacon.
I like to try new dishes, my only wish would be someone to wash those dishes!
