I'm an ethical vegan, humanist, student, activist and mom of an 8 year old DD and 2 year old DS. I love life, walk around in awe of the universe, and am always made happier by things that smell delicious. Like pumpkin pie spice. And turmeric.
We've been vegan since Fall '08, and are just starting to feel like we know the tricks of the trade...and Recipezaar (now Food.com) has certainly made the transition easier.
Cheap, easy, vegan...I love lentils, a.k.a. manna from heaven. Mmmm...lentils...
Also, curry powder makes everything good. (Actually, curry powder doesn't make pecan pie good. Nothing makes pecan pie good. I think pecan pie may be the only food on the planet which, no matter how it's prepared or by whom, I will always spit out of my mouth. Sorry pecan pie chefs...I'm sure you have many other fine recipes to offer me)!
