Reviewed Pineapple Nut Muffins
"Jim....congratulations on your Football 2012 win!
I made these muffins last week and was very impressed with the flavor, the ease and with how fresh they stayed.
Quick preparation, delicious taste and wonderful density for a muffin.
Will be making these again!"

Reviewed Irish Hotpot
"Made this for your 2012 Football Wild Card Playoff win. I had the ingredients on hand and put it in the oven before going to work.
It turned out really well. I used my heavy cast iron dutch oven and it didn't dry out at all until the last hour. I used a little water and chicken broth (about 1/4 cup total) to it and it turned out well.
The..."

Reviewed Cheesy Beer Salsa Dip
"First of all...Congratulations on your 2012 Week 10 Football Pool win!!! I was craving something other than the "normal" Christmas Eve food so I made some of this to serve with tortilla chips. This really a lot better than the normal Velvetta/Rotel dip that I usually make for parties.
I think this will be my new replacement for that old dip....."

Reviewed Fruited Apple Nut Cake
"I knew I had to try this recipe for your Week 9 Football 2012 win when I saw it was a slow cooker cake recipe and knowing my hubby's love of anything apple.
I was very pleased with how this turned out. It was very easy to put together and then I just let it bake in my new slow cooker.
It was very moist and flavorful. I did add a bit of ci..."

"First of all, Congratulations on your WEEK 6 Football 2012 win....second of all...I LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe. It had never occurred to add the other ingredients to my roast beef sandwiches but I don't think I will ever go back to making them the old way.
I made a batch on Sunday and they were gone before I knew it.

Reviewed Queso Corn Dip
"I've had a recipe similar to this for a long time but mine didn't include the olives or the bacon. I made this last night for your Football 2012 win and it was really really good. I love the addition of the textures from the olives and bacon as well as the flavor that it adds. I served it with corn chips and tortilla chips and everyone who tried..."

Daughter to two great parents; sister to two great brothers; Aunt to Espee; Mimi to Waylon, Weston and Memphis and mom to the 3 best kids on earth. Baker, cook, photographer, party planner and the best friend you will ever have unless you*****with me and/or my family....then you might regret the day you met me.
I love to bake. I think my favorite foods are my daddy's biscuits and his fried okra, my Nee's chocolate cake with 7 minute icing and chicken and dressing made by either of them. My Nee passed away in April of 2007.
She used to cook Sunday lunch for all of family from the time I was little until she fell and became disabled. Despite the disability, she would wheel herself into the kitchen to order us around and make sure we were doing it "her" way.
I'm one of those people who CANNOT leave a recipe alone and almost always modify it to my taste. In my little world, recipes are just good guidelines and can always be improved! That trait drives my mother crazy!
MY RATING SYSTEM:
I'm not going to rate anything that I think is below 3 stars. I believe that all tastes are subjective and just because I don't like something or the way it tasted, I'm not going to give it a mediocore or bad review.
Everything I rate will have either 4 or 5 stars. 5 is the best of the best; 4 are things that I will make again and 3 are things that I made but need work or the recipes needs something, in my opinion.
I dislike reviews wherein the person states "I haven't made this yet, but....." or "I changed this this and this BUT...". I don't think those are fair reviews for anyone. There are times when I will make the original dish and review it but if I feel something can be improved upon or changed for my family's tastes, I wait and do that the next time I make it and will note that in my review.
