New Topic Tough Meat! in Cooking Q & A

"I have just bought an Oster roaster. I have made 2 meats in it and both of them came out like shoe leather. Am I doing something wrong?? I am following the recipes in the book. The meat should not be coming out this tough. Any suggestions or tips would be helpful!"

    About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mom in a little town in Michigan. I am married, have 3 young children, and a handicapped mother, so I'm always looking for something to please all their tastes. I do lots of crafts, reading, trying new recipes, and lead a teen mother's ministry.

My favorite cookbook is any made by churches.

I do lots of canning. I plant a huge garden in the summer and plan it well so I can have a stock during winter when our budget is a little tighter.

    Favorite Foods

My absolute favorite food is shrimp, followed by cheesecake.

I am best known for my chicken cordon bleu - - which my hubby asks for often. I absolutely hate peas so I tend to avoid or change any recipes that have them in. You will find most all my recipes will have mushrooms. My whole family loves them and they are a great filler. Most of my recipes are made for family of 6, so you may need to scale down some of them. I have a great line of specialty pizzas I have created, including a breakfast pizza.

My favorite restaurants are Red Lobster, Olive Garden and Logan's Roadhouse.
