I'm 22 and have loved cooking for as long as I can remember. I have been using recipezaar.. or now food.com, since 2007 (As you can see I have a "founding member" banner!) thanks to (even though she doesn't know it) KelBel, and her AWESOME creamy chickpea curry recipe. It's the best.
I'm pretty bad at reviewing and posting my own recipes but I seem to try 2-4 new recipes from here every week. Generally I search for cheap easy meals for 4-6..even though I am just cooking for two. My "dependent," as I like to call him, somehow manages to shovel in enough food for 3 people and we're still living (essentially) on a student budget and I'm trying really hard not to eat pasta and sauce 7 days a week.
BUT, my favourite food to make (and eat) is japanese food because it's so artsy! I roll my own maki rolls and make my own sushi and sashimi. I also make yakitori, and gyoza (which are kebabs and dumplings) and tons of noodle dishes (i love sesame udon soup!!). I also love bento boxes.. although i tend to just admire ones others have made rather than make my own (check out e-obento.com for the CUTEST bentos you've ever seen!).
