"I used a fresh bag of dark brown sugar to avoid sucralose/aspartame. The sugar was clumping with the drier ingredients so an airtight mini chopper came in handy. The recipe was followed exactly, and it wasn't sweet at all. Others suggested adding more sugar so it was doubled. It tasted much better."
"Two pounds cooked for 8 hours over a large yellow onion provided enough for four. The meat was so tender! Served with baked potato and side salad. There was so much sauce that next time I'll double the onion and serve it over brown rice."
"Simple and easy. The possibilities are endless! Update: We enjoy this on a regular basis. I usually peel, cube and fry (covered) two potatoes in a skillet until tender. We've substituted turkey for chicken and also added 3-4 cups of fresh sautéed kale when the potatoes are nearly done. This is certainly a keeper."

Two suggestions - slowly whisk liquids into the butter and flour mixture to avoid clumps and don't be afraid to toss in something extra. I needed to use up mushrooms and they were ..."
"I used an entire box of frozen spinach, opted for mushrooms and passed on the ham. Served it with fresh fruit and toast. Everyone was pleased. Update: used 1 cup smoked ham, 3/4 cup mushrooms, 1 cup feta, 3/4 cup moz, 9 eggs and whole box frozen spinach. Wonderful again!"
"Followed the recipe other than swapping 3/4 tablespoon dried cilantro for fresh. From ingredient options Cotija & Monterey Jack cheeses, 7 green poblanos (halved) and 1 large red pepper (quartered) were used. These were a huge success! Served with brown rice and black beans. Can't wait to make it again with both/either pepper."
