Reviewed Deep Dish Chicken Pot Pie

     |  By OCMom1

"Oh my gosh is this delicious! Rich and creamy and so easy to throw together for a weeknight meal. The only change I made to this one was to use leftover turky so I really had a Deep Dish Turkey Pot Pie but we will have this with chicken soon too."

"LOVED this beef! Some of the family are watching their carbs so they just ate the meat piled with lettuce and cheese. For the rest of us I toasted the rolls with a slice of provalone cheese and then made the sandwich. The au jus was SO good and luckily I doubled the au jus part of the recipe. I started the roast from a frozen state the night befor..."

"These are definitely delicious carrots and SO simple to make. I used a bag of baby carrots and just threw all of the ingredients into a pot with 1 cup of water. Then I brought it to a boil, covered the pan and reduced the heat to a simmer. I simmered the carrots covered for 15 minutes and then uncovered for 10 minutes until the sauce was reduced. ..."

"I really do understand why it pleased you Uncle Bill when your Grandma made this dish. Like you say, it is a simple but tasty side dish that we all loved in my house. I did use fresh garlic and didn't deviate from the recipe. We will have this ofter in our house.... it would even be great for breakfast! I just ordered my copy of your cookbook "Fro..."

Reviewed Baked Pork Chops in Onion-Sour Cream Gravy
    Handle
     |  By PSparx

"Delicious pork chops! The cooking time is definitely too long unless you have really thick chops. I used 4 chops and even with serving potatoes on the side for the gravy there was a TON of gravy left over. But with a bit of an adaption in the cooking time and maybe 1/2 cup sour cream next time this will be a recipe we enjoy often."

"This is an excellent soup. I did not bake the sausage, instead I sauteed it in the soup pan before going forward with the rest of the directions. I also let kale simmer for about 5 minutes before adding the cream because we like our kale a little softer. Served with freshly grated parmesean cheese as garnish and crusty rolls for dipping,"

Reviewed Kale with Garlic, Anchovies and Ale

"I really had high hopes for this recipe after seeing the episode. Garlic, ale, chili peppers, anchovies.... YUM. But everyone in my family agreed this dish was NOT good.... I followed the recipe exactly. My anchovies "melted" into the olive oil. I used an aneheim pepper but the kale turned out really bitter and just not good. "

"WOW is the first word that comes to mind when I rate this recipe. I have made this a few times now and after the first time the only change I made was to increase the salt to 1 teaspoon. It takes a while to make these green beans, but they are WORTH every second!"

"December 17, 2007: Fabulous recipe. I blended the tomatoes as suggested and followed the recipe as written otherwise. I gave a big scoop of this to my Dad who always skips the Spanish rice and he ate the entire thing, raving about how good it was the entire time. Even the babies loved this rice as it is not hugely spicy. Easy and delicious means t..."
