"This is an amazing recipe, and my favorite for Beef Shank Steaks. We've had it several times. I only change the directions slightly due to our preference for firmer vegetables. After searing the shanks (and before the onions, I saute the carrots, parsnips and celery for just a couple of minutes. I then remove them to be added later; then I co..."

"Yes, super quick indeed and, though I'm not a fan of this method, tasty as well. I prefer stir frying in steps rather than mixing everything together first and then tossing around the pan. I think we might have used the wrong Thai Chili Sauce because we needed quite a bit more heat. Overall, a nice change for a weeknight quick dinner! Thanks ..."

"Excellent! Lovely combination of flavors and sure to be a kid favorite. Made exactly as stated except I made four individual servings in 2 quart Pyrex dishes (filled half full, so pint containers will also work. When cooled, I pressed plastic wrap down over the topping, wrapped in foil and froze two for another meal. Next time I might sprink..."

Rendered fat from the ham with 3 strips of chopped bacon in stock pot. When the bacon was almost cooked to crispy, added 1/2 cup chopped onion and cooked about 3 minutes..."

"I used burrito sized tortillas, and they were the perfect size. Made 6 chimichangas, and I baked them. Served with black beans and rice, and made for an excellent at home Mexican dinner."

"We really enjoyed this chili. I have several recipes, and it's hard to say which is our favorite. Super quick, on-hand ingredients, and classic "chili" taste - this one's a real winner! We like this one with grilled cheese sandwiches. Yummy comfort food."

"I used this recipe as a foundation for an awesome pie. I added Pumpkin Pie Spice to the pumpkin mixture and added an additional egg. I made this as one deep dish pie. I served warm accompanied with Butter Pecan Ice Cream. Really yummy."

"What can I say or add? OUTSTANDING!!! This is not a chili for chili dogs. We prefer to scoop it up with Frito's Scoops instead of spoons. I also use two cans of black beans (added at the end and two cans of pinto beans. I also add two chilies in adobe sauce and a small amount of chilpolte chili powder instead of the chili sauce."
