As a day job, I write computer software, and have done so at the same company for 20 years, in a wonderful town where I have made some of my best friends. A Marylander by birth, I swear by Old Bay, and it has a way of finding itself into more than just crabcakes!
I love an intimate evening with a handful of close friends, good food, and good drink! My friends have learned that it's pretty safe to eat my "experiments", but it took them a while :o)

The Maryland Boy in me still loves to whip up a batch of crabcakes... ahhh, shellfish and buttah! My first posting was a version of the cakes served at the annual Summer Supper at All Saints Episcopal Church in Sunderland, MD (http://www.allsaints1692.org/). If you're near there the first weekend in August, I highly recommend it. Tell Penny and Ed (my folks) you heard about it from their son!
Fav cookboks: In Pursuit of Flavor, by Edna Lewis. The Gourmet Cookbook, edited by Ruth Reichl, Christopher Kimball's Cook's Bible, and I'm just here for the Food, by Alton Brown are my favs at the moment.
