    About Me

I live in a town about 1 hr outside of Toronto. I have 2 toddler sons and a wife (who is past toddling) at home. I like to cook, my wife doesn't so I have a free rein in the kitchen. Cooking is probably my main hobby, except in Summer, when golf dominates. I LOVE spicy foods but DW doesn't, so I either cook separate dishes or make something I can spice up on my own plate. my current favorite cookbook is 'Some Like It Hot' by Clifford A. Wright--my first posting is from this book. My pet peeve is when someone turns up their nose at a new dish before actually trying it--she is getting better tho :)
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the words YUM or YUMMY make my skin crawl.

    Favorite Foods

Spicy and flavorful foods dominate; not just 'hot'. I love to try multi-ethnic dishes and really enjoy the recipezaar postings from around the world.
I try to keep things healthy but try not to sacrifice flavor too much. I also collect little dishes that I can whip up in minutes since time is often scarce around here. I will post some of my favorites once I verify the measurements; I usually don't actually measure when I cook unless it's a recipe I'm trying for the first time.
