Reviewed Balsamic Reduction for Recipe #222776

     |  By Chef Decadent1

"Wow, who knew how easy that would be?! Thanks for posting the instructions. I used only raspberry balsamic vinegar and it reduced beautifully and concentrated the berry flavor very nicely. Drizzled over grilled chicken and roasted veggies and was delicious!"

"Great recipe -- I needed something to use up my bumper crop of basil, and this was just the thing! Only changes I'd make next time is to use only one Serrano pepper (or two jalapenos, which are milder and thicken the sauce with some cornstarch/water.

Perfect over jasmine rice. Thanks very much for sharing!"

"Amazing! A huge hit at a recent dinner party, too! I made it with chunky peanut butter because I liked the contrast of the crunchy nuts to the smooth ice cream. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!"

"This recipe was a huge hit with all my Thanksgiving dinner guests. Everyone was raving and scarfed up every last bit!

I made mine larger triangles of phyllo because they were easier to fill/work with that way.

The combination of sweet/tart cranberries, salty bacon, creamy brie and crunchy phyllo is absolutely perfect!"

"The whole family loved it! Great comfort food on a cold day.

Mine didn't really form a crust with the bread crumbs the way the recipe described. It just sort of soaked in. Maybe I'll try using more crumbs next time and see if that helps.

I made the full recipe, and so glad I did because now I have leftovers frozen for anothe..."

"Got many compliments on this cake when I made it for an "Orange You Glad" theme party last weekend. Everyone loved it! This weekend, I made it again, only with white cake, lemon jello, lemon pudding mix and lemon extract. Mmmmm! I love how versatile the recipe is!"

"It's a lot of chopping, but other than that, really easy! I used 2.5 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken thighs cut into large chunks and halved the rest of the recipe. Left out the tomato paste and added two fresh, chopped tomatoes in addition to the canned. Served it in a bowl alongside some polenta. Excellent comfort food. Delicious!"

"Simply delicious! I so prefer this to creamy slaw. I made mine with a bag of slaw mix, and added a small green pepper, a small red bell pepper, and three scallions. Love the idea of the blanched broccoli and cauliflower, so I'll try that next time. On this recipe, the 2 Tbsp. of mustard and 1/2 cup of sugar was just right for me. Thanks for a..."
