    About Me

    I'm a 39 year old mother of 2 boys who can eat!! They are willing to try just about anything, so I'm always looking for new recipes. I work at a cotton gin during ginning season, so I have to leave the crock pot going alot in the fall. We raise show pigs and show steers, so we are out of town alot going to livestock shows to compete. We love to eat out and try new things, but we also have our rituals at each city we travel to. We have to eat at least once at Pappadeaux; Carrabas; and Salt Grass Steak House each trip! My favorite cookbook is Calf Fries to Caviar, but I love my RecipeZaar one as well. I'm the food and nutrition project leader for our 4H group, and I love to try the healthier recipes for our County and District Food Shows. We used the Aunties Vegetable Casserole last year, and won 3rd place at District, so we need something to top that!

    Favorite Foods

    My favorite foods are simple: the 5 main food groups! (CHOCOLATE, PIZZA, WINE, ANYTHING FRIED, AND MORE CHOCOLATE!) Just kidding. I really love seafood and chicken, but I don't eat beef or pork because we raise those animals. My kids say my fried rice is the best in the world. We love chinese and Japanese, and just love to eat! I love to cook just about anything. I was a Pampered Chef consultant for a few years, and try to incorporate their recipes and cooking utensils with everything I do. My favorite restaurant????I love Mortons of Chicago. I think that is about as good as it gets!!!
