"I tripled the recipe to make a really big batch, using 2/3 butter flavored Crisco and 1/3 butter and added about another 2/3 cup peanut butter for more peanutty flavor and added about 1-1/2 bags mini chocolate chips. Also I couldn't resist making the criss crosses on the top of the cookies. I used my large cookie scoop and ended up with 72 very..."

"I've been using this recipe for 5 years or more and don't know how I missed writing a review. Everyone loves these cookies when I make them. They are great as is, but I like a lot of lemon flavor so I add 1/2 tsp of lemon extract and 2 tsps of lemon zest to the dough and then ice them with a lemon glaze made with powdered sugar, lemon zest and f..."

"One of the best cookie recipes I've ever tried. The cookies turn out very buttery and crisp, just melt in your mouth good. I added 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract for a little extra coconut flavor. Thank you for posting this great recipe. The reader that gave you a 3 star rating must have done something wrong as everyone else gave you a well dese..."

"I don't know how I skipped rating this recipe that I've made several times over the past year. These cookies are excellent, crisp and have a subtle lemon flavor. They're great plain, but I actually like them better when I glaze them with an icing made of just straight lemon juice, a little lemon extract and powdered sugar, brush on with a pastry..."

"I think recipes should be rated only if you follow the instructions given, with no substitutions. That is only fair as maybe your substitutions could make the recipe a failure. This recipe turned out perfect for me and it was delicious. The graham crackers made it an extra special coffee cake. Thank you for sharing a wonderful recipe...."

"I doubled the recipe to make a deep dish 10-inch pie and baked it for about an hour and a half at 400 degrees. After reading reviews, I added an extra 4 tblsp. flour for the doubled recipe and the filling was perfect. Thank you for posting this great peach pie recipe!"

"This is a real good heavy dense cake. I swirled a mixture of 2 tblsp. cocoa, 2 tblsp instant expresso powder with 4 tblsp of sugar with 1 cup of mini chocolate chips through the cake batter, added a crumb topping and used an angel food cake pan with a removable bottom. Bake an extra 15 minutes. Excellent! Thanks for a great recipe!"

"Well I think your Supreme Cocoa Mix recipe is fabulous too. To make it even richer, I used half regular unsweetened cocoa and half dark chocolate unsweetened cocoa and added about 1-1/4 cups of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips to the mix. Thank you for posting a great recipe!"

"Best lemon bars I've ever tasted, just melted in my mouth. Like the others, I used butter flavored Crisco shortening along with the butter, added an extra tablespoon of flour and 7 tablespoons of lemon juice and added 2 teaspoons lemon zest. Would give this 10 stars if I could.......Thank you!"

"I made these several times, with different additions each time I baked them: butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, m and m's but my favorite addition was white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. Great recipe, very rich and chewy! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could......Yum!"
