I'm a single mom to two grown boys. We love to try new recipes, which is good since I'm kinda sorta addicted to recipe browsing. Pretty much all my recipes come from magazines or other websites - I really don't have the inclination to create recipes, but if it's one of "mine", I will post it as such. (I just don't want to step on anyone's toes again - so please know I'm not taking credit for the recipes I share.)
My favorite thing about this website is the recipe reviews. I only post recipes that I'm pretty sure I and my kids will enjoy - so if you review a recipe I've shared with a positive review, I want to see what YOU'VE posted, because we probably have the same likes and dislikes. I've found a lot of recipes that have become favorites by doing that, and I think that's pretty darn cool - just like talking with your friends about what you had for dinner last night. :)
If I make a recipe and don't like it, I'll either leave it alone or try it again - using measuring cups and spoons the second time! Most of the time I just guess and dump ... thankfully, I don't have very many disasters - so ONE good thing about being old is you just know about how much a cup is :)
I firmly believe the kitchen is the heart of the home. We nourish our family and friends with the food we make and the fellowship of shared meals. We comfort friends with home made meals when they're dealing with illness or suffering from tragedy or loss of loved ones. We show love by creating someone's favorite meal for them, either for a birthday or just because.
I hope y'all are blessed in being able to share good food with good friends and loved ones. And if you don't feel like cooking, supper's on the table around 6:30 ... come on over :)

Unfortunately, I don't HAVE a favorite - I think I love everything, and I've got the behind to prove it. ;)
