"This is a good recipe but I found that one critical step was missing that explained why 2 tbspns of chili powder could make anything mild? When using spices like chili/cumin powder, it's important to roast the spices to get the flavour and heat out - this is standard in Indian cooking for example. So after step 2, put the spices and saute for 1..."

"This was so yummy! The prep time takes a bit of time but after the pot is in the oven it's a breeze. The wine and the cognac make such a nice aroma. It was a big hit and it was even yummier the next day! My only adds were a bit of sage with the thyme to the chuck beef I used and also would be to parboil the onions for about 10mins, they weren'..."

"This was divine! I made the recipe as is except that I had used onion powder and seasoned bread crumbs so omitted the Italian seasoning. After baked, I drizzled the eggplant with some homemade pizza sauce. My only tip would be to use the bottom rack of the oven to get the eggplant a nice golden color. DH raved about it! Thanks for a keeper!"

"I made a few different quiche at a brunch, & this was the big hit at my brunch. I used fresh baby asparagus (just blanched them for 15 mins in boiling salted water and used the extra stalks to make a pattern on the quiche like Fairy Nuff's picture. The only change I made was to use a sour cream/milk mix instead of whipping cream. Thanks for a ..."

"I realized I didn't have pizza sauce & knew recipezaar would not dissapoint! This was so delicious!! The fennel is a nice touch - adds some sweetness & texture to the sauce. I didn't have tomato paste/sauce on hand, but used a can of crushed tomatoes & it worked great. DH even commented on the sauce too!"

"I made this for DH's birthday cake- it turned out fabulous! I added some raisins and doubled the frosting. Next time I may make 2.5 frosting to have a thicker middle layer of frosting. So yummy!! Thanks for sharing!"

"This was very yummy! I wasn't sure what sweet paprika was.. just had paprika? But I added sauteed onions and some tomatoes too. And think I'll add some ground coriander to the spices next time. Great recipe - thanks for sharing!"

"This was a great recipe! Very easy to alter as well. I followed the recipe for the most part - only changes were using sourcream & milk instead of creme fraiche. I made 2 quiches for a brunch - i added sauteed onions & turkey sausage; and the other one was smoked salmon, cheddar, spinach & mushroom. Got rave reviews - thanks again!"

"I had some Tilapia & wanted to try something different & this was wonderful! The only changes I made were to use 3/4 cup of finely cut red onion & 1/4 cup of green onion. I sauteed the onion first till light brown and then add the peppers which adds to the thickness & flavor of the sauce. I was hesitant about using 2 tsps of paste, but the heat..."

"These cupcakes were a hit at the baby shower. People liked the fact that it wasn't too sweet & some were amazed that I made them - they thought they were NYC bakery made! The frosting was great & added the sweetness but I think I would add a bit of sugar to the batter to sweeten it up cake a notch. Thanks so much for posting!"
