"I made this exactly how it said to, and although I admit it would have been much easier and faster to make the syrup from dry sugar, I thought it turned out wonderfully. I didn't have a thermometer, and it does take a very long time for the syrup to turn the right color, but if you're patient-this is great! Love it!
