New Topic Caribbean Menu in Caribbean Islands

"Hi! Me and a group of friends are getting together to have a themed dinner party, which we do quite regularly. This year, the theme is Caribbean. About Me

I love to cook, I love recipe books, well actually I love food! My husband jokes that I read recipes books like a novel. I am always trying to find new tastes and flavours . New Zealand food goes back to our forebears, so comfort food, British flavours are usual. However, in the last 30 or so years, we have been able to get so many more spices and herbs that were never available before, and New Zealand cooks have been influenced by many foods from around the world, but especially the Pacific rim. I love to cook curries, but have recently become more interested in Moroccan / Middle Eastern cooking.

    Favorite Foods

I love to do "themed" dinner parties. So far, I have been involved in an Indian, Greek, French and South Pacific dinner party. Not only do we do typical food of the country, but also we try to dress appropriately and also play music from the Country. It is always great fun. The last party we had was a 1970's theme. I can't believe that we actually wore those clothes 30 years ago!! Some of the outfits our friends wore to the party were hilarious.
