Chester UK
Hi. I'm a Canadian East Coast gal, now living in the UK with my husband the Toddster. I have five wonderful children, ages 23 to 36. I also have five handsome little grandsons and a beautiful little granddaughter. I have been collecting recipes and cooking since I was a young girl, and have accumulated quite a large collection that seems to grow all on it's own! (I swear I have nothing to do with it!) All my cookbooks are my favorites, but I have to say my absolute favorite is a thick blue binder that I have used to accumulate all my tried and trues, newspaper clippings, and magazine clipping through the years. Besides cooking and collecting recipes I also love crafting, having mastered counted cross stich, tole painting, doll making, ceramics and many others too numerous to speak of here. I love to travel and since I moved over here 11 years ago I have been pretty lucky in having been able to travel throughout Germany several times, Austria, and the south of France, Belgium, Luxemburg, plus Devon, the Yorkshire Dales, Wales and the Lake District. I have come to love England and look upon it as my home. I worked for a number of years as a personal chef down in the Garden of England and am now retired and exploring my artist side. I've been designing rubber stamps for the craft company Imagination Crafts (www.imaginationcrafts.co.uk) for about a year now and also sell prints and cards of my work via mail order from my own home.
I have an artpage where all of my work can be seen.

I also have two other blogs:

(photos, thoughts and recipes)
http://theenglishkitchen.blogspot.com
(FOOD and photos. Primarily exploring the myths and deliciousness of food over here in the UK, and also my adaption to cooking in a new country and with new ingredients.)
I just love to cook and to eat. My most favorite thing in the world to eat is, I confess, chocolate, chocolate anything...but especially with nuts. I miss my mother's cooking over here. It doesn't seem to matter how well I follow one of her recipes, they just never seem to taste the same. Must be that extra special touch of love she puts into things!
