Reviewed Apple Cinnamon French Toast Casserole in a Mug

"Not enjoyable. It was still under-cooked at two minutes, so I zapped it another 30 seconds. When done, it was spongy and eggy. It had no real flavor. Maybe if cinnamon-raisin bread was used it would be better tasting, but the texture will still be off-putting. I will not make this again."

    Reviewed Orange Barbeque Drumsticks

"I would give this recipe more stars, but for the unclear instructions. The recipe indicates that 1/4 cup of the sauce should be reserved, but does not mention when to make use of this.

I coated the chicken with the larger amount of sauce, and baked in a rectangular casserole dish for thirty minutes. It would have been a mess if I had used..."

    Reviewed Emergency Chocolate Milk

"I mixed the cocoa and sugar in a glass and added a small amount of cold water....just enough to make a paste. Then added a little of the milk and stirred until blended. Then added the rest of the milk. No need to microwave. Tasted good....not quite like commercial chocolate milk, or the kind made with purchased chocolate syrup, but still good."

    Reviewed Cowboy Casserole for Two

"Very easy, and tasty. We couldn't find tater tots, so we used potato crowns...they are round discs, a little larger than checkers. Doubled the recipe to serve three, and we have about one quarter of it for leftovers. Definitely a do-over in our house!"

"Slow Cooker Gingerbread With Dried Cherries

Looks like there are some ingredients missing from the list....could the chef please correct?"

    Reviewed Orange Rhubarb Muffins

"I made a double batch last night, and they were delicious. Two changes....I added mixed dried fruit [craisins/raisins/currants] instead of nuts, and I sprinkled about 1/2tsp white sugar on top of each muffin before baking. My double batch yielded 24 large muffins."

    About Me

I live by the Atlantic Ocean - beautiful
sunrises! For fun, I like to read, sew,
and spend time with my children [son age 17, daughter age 10]. I enjoy cooking for my family and friends.Every week, on my day off, I try something new. Sometimes it's a "keeper", sometimes it's a dud, but it's always interesting. My husband, son and daughter look forward to "New Recipe Night", and to rating my efforts.

    Favorite Foods

I like to make casseroles - they're quick,
    convenient for reheating, and usually
provide a complete meal-in-one, which is
a real time-saver when I have to work until 6pm most days.
We're just beginning to experiment with
different cuisines - my husband was raised
    by a meat-and-potatoes standard, so he's a
little hesitant to try anything too "exotic"
    but I'm working on him!
